Marigị doll creations started in 1980.
Maria Rossi, the Artist, lives in a house in the country side of Northern Italy
surrounded by trees and wild flowers.
Near her home is her workshop, and there, the beautiful bisque porcelain dolls are brought to life.
Marigị dolls are know and appreciated all over the world, Everything in her line is perfect to the smallest details because she supervise every single moment of the assembly of her creations.
Clothes and accessories characterize the two main lines of Marigị creations, the classic "little girl" that takes us back to the past and the other "fashion doll" that brings back the costumes of other times.
Every dress is the result of extremely accurate research, and inspired by original photographs and post cards from the 1800's and 1900's and by old black and white movies.
All fabrics are strictly of natural fibers of high values such as silk, linen, cotton of laces that were used by our great grandmothers.
the soft and delicate colours are obtained thanks to a particular colouring technique realized in the workshop itself.
Every dress perfectly fits every doll's different personality.
Yes, in Maria Rossi creations, we can really talk about personality because none of her dolls are cold or static as the term doll would evoke, instead they capture the enchantment of an innocent smile of a kid, the sad look of a poor child, the sorrow of a girl who lost her teddy bear, the languishing and melancholy expression of a young woman lost in an unknown and mysterious dream.
As every single doll made by Marigị is unique, they come in a limited number from 50 to 100 up to a maximum of 300 worldwide and they are numbered and carry a certificate of authenticity.
